The Chinese company BAIC has introduced a special version of the bj80 SUV, which is an unlicensed copy of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The release of new items called 70th Anniversary was timed to the 70th anniversary of China.

The special red color of the car symbolizes the national flag of the people's Republic of China. It contrasts with the roof, bumpers and wheel arches in black. Plus, the novelty received 20-inch wheels with low-profile tires.

The interior has black leather seats with contrasting black stitching and 70th Anniversary logos.
The technical component of the SUV has not been changed. Unlike the original "Gelendvagen", BAIC BJ80 is equipped with a 2.3-liter supercharged gasoline engine, manufactured under license from SAAB, which develops 250 HP and 3560 N·m of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and a Part-time all-wheel drive system with a hard-wired front axle.

A total of 700 such vehicles will be produced. Prices for the BAIC BJ80 70th Anniversary SUV have not yet been named.
