It is, of course, about the electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQC.

It is, of course, about the electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQC.

Recall that this is an electric car., which is still in the Russian market to compete except with the Jaguar I-Pace. The dimensions of the EQC are comparable to other SUV brand-GLC. They have the same wheelbase - 2,873 mm and a similar design of a fully independent suspension, but, firstly, the electric crossover received its own body design (which made it 105 mm longer and slightly narrower), and secondly, the manufacturer claims that the novelty is built on a unique platform. Later it will be used for other Mercedes-Benz electric cars under the EQ sub-brand.

Performance EQC 400, in which the SUV just debuted a little more than a year ago, involves two electric motors with a combined capacity of 408 HP and 765 Nm of torque. EQC received 80-kilowatt battery pack, which provides 450 km of mileage on a single charge, however, the manufacturer still calls these figures "preliminary". You can recharge your battery by 80% with The wallbox Advanced charger in about 40 minutes.

The multi-mode recovery system also helps to replenish the energy reserve, and the driver can choose the mode himself. Maximally effective the program crossover can become "tropicalsim": the simple release of the throttle pedal results in noticeable slowdown. Earlier, a similar technology, by the way, was implemented by Audi on the electric e-tron.

It is worth noting that the EQC turned out to be very massive: it weighs 2 425 kg. But this does not prevent the SUV from gaining the first "hundred" in 5.1 seconds and accelerating further to the maximum speed of 180 km / h (the figure is limited by electronics). Equipped with a novelty and familiar from other "Mercedes" system for selecting modes of operation of on-Board electronics, and the list includes a new mode Max Range, in which the electronics optimizes driving performance in order to achieve maximum range. In addition, the crossover is equipped with a "smart" navigation system, which will prompt not only the optimal route, but also the most economical driving style.

The interior of the SUV is assembled according to the patterns of other Mercedes-Benz novelties – for example, the same giant display is used here, consisting of two parts with a diagonal of 10.2 inches each. One half of it works as a dashboard, the second became the display of THE mbux multimedia system of the new generation.

According to the otts certificate issued for the model, the standard equipment of THE EQC for Russia includes an electronic stability control system, a tire pressure monitoring system, an emergency braking assistance system based on a radar sensor, a service interval indication system, an emergency call system, a combined ventilation, heating and air conditioning system (climate control system). The list of optional equipment includes an active lane control system, an active distance control system, remote door opening/closing and ignition control, remote engine start and monitoring of vehicle parameters through a mobile application and the Internet, a Parking assistance system with steering automation, an anti-theft search device for transmitting the location of the vehicle, a traction device.

The appearance of Mercedes-Benz EQC dealers should be expected in 2020.
