Novelty named Roma dedicated to the capital of Italy and the turbulent history of Ferrari.
Front-engine "Roma" got a very futuristic design with a very original grille and extravagant rear lights. In Ferrari, meanwhile, claim that when creating this look inspired by the most famous models of the last century-first of all, the 250 GT series.
Unusual was the interior of the coupe: perhaps for the first time in Maranello used the concept of such a Frank separation of the passenger from the driver. They are separated not only by smooth arcs forming individual "cockpits", but also by a massive Central console, which is crowned by an 8.4-inch vertical monitor. Digital "tidy" received 16 inches of diagonal, and that the passenger was not bored, it was equipped with its own touch screen. The rear seats, apparently, have decreased to symbolic sizes: the manufacturer, describing the layout of the cabin, uses the formula "2+" instead of the usual "2+2".
The Ferrari Portofino" bogie " has not changed: contrary to expectations, the Roma has retained the same 2,670 mm wheelbase, although due to changes in design it has slightly increased in length compared to the convertible. Preserved and power unit, but in this case, the preservation can be said with a certain degree of conditionality. First, the output of the 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 increased from 600 to 620 HP (at the same 760 Nm of torque). And second, the motor works now with a new box. Instead of the former 7-speed robot applied 8-range, which, as promised in Ferrari, switches more quickly and smoothly.
Accordingly, Roma was a little faster. Up to 100 km/h coupe accelerates in 3.4 seconds, and 200 km/h will gain in 9.3 seconds at a top speed of more than 320 km/h.
The sale of the coupe should appear next spring, but the prices have not yet been officially named. However, most likely, the novelty will be comparable in value to the "donor" Ferrari Portofino, that is, its price will meet 200 thousand euros.
