Mini has announced a new, third in the modern history of the brand version of its hatchback with the index GP. The three-door Mini John Cooper Works GP received the most powerful engine in the history of the brand and was rumored to be the fastest "Mini" at the Nurburgring.
The engine, which was blessed with a new hatch – a two-liter turbocharger from BMW with a return of 306 HP and 450 Nm, and the maximum thrust is already available from 1 750 rpm. the Motor became 75 HP more powerful than the unit, which is installed on the mass Mini JCW and noticeably stronger than the motor, which completed the limited series Mini JCW GP in 2013.
In addition, it has a number of improvements that allow you to actively use the novelty on the race track.
Assist the motor 8-speed sports machine and mechanical differential lock in the front axle drive. As a result, the new Mini JCW GP accelerates to 100 km / h in just 5.2 seconds, and the maximum speed of the three-door is stated at 265 km / h.
In addition to the new engine "Mini" got a new exhaust system, extended track, reduced ground clearance and stiffer damping elements in the suspension, as well as additional power elements in the body structure.
Developed him and a special aerodynamic body kit with an original solution of wheel arches, colored inserts and a massive "two-story" spoiler.
