Among crossovers and SUVs first place in the survey took Lexus RX current generation: its satisfaction index was an impressive 96%. Less than 10% of respondents found in RX any fault, and most often they were associated with the body finish. In second place-the current Kia Sportage, behind the leader by a few shares: its rating was 95.8%, and it is noted that the vast majority of faults were called "minor". The third position was taken almost nose to nose Kia Sorento with a result of 95.66%, and its weak point was called electrical components.
In addition to the above, the top ten most reliable SUVs included Lexus RX previous generation, Lexus NX, current Toyota RAV4, Skoda Yeti, Kia Sportage last generation, the first Volvo XC60 and Suzuki Grand Vitara.
In the category of "family cars" the most reliable British called the new Toyota Prius, last year received only bronze. In second place settled Toyota Avensis third generation, despite the fact that 18% of the surveyed owners mentioned some problems with the engine, and the third – hatchback Lexus CT with a reliability rating of 94%. The top ten also included Volvo V40, Hyundai i30 and Mercedes-Benz A-class of past generations, the current VW Passat, Skoda Superb and Honda Civic.
The Italian Fiat Panda headed the segment of compact cars, which is not popular in Russia, among British car owners: the owners liked the low cost of ownership, and only 7.4% of faults were noted. Second place - for Toyota Yaris (problems mentioned 9.2% of owners, mostly nodding at the electrician), third – for Toyota Aygo. In addition to them, the "baby" Top 10 hit Honda Jazz, Kia Rio, Hyundai i20, Kia Venga, Mini, Honda Jazz of the previous generation, and closed the top ten Hyundai i10.
Among all new cars in General (the study involved the British, owning a car for a year or less) leads again Toyota Prius-primarily due to the high level of build quality and low operating costs. Second place - for the Lexus is sedan (only 4.2% of respondents mentioned malfunctions, mainly in the engine and brakes), the third – for the Lexus RX, whose rating was lower than the four-door brother by only 0.05%. In addition, ten – Kia Sportage, Kia Sorento, Lexus NX and CT, Fiat Panda, Mazda MX-5 and Toyota Yaris.
Finally, experts analyzed the publication and the market of used cars. The leaders here again was the crossover Lexus RX current generation, second place-for sedan Lexus GS with a rating of 95.18%, and the third – for Toyota RAV4 (94.68%), produced in the period from 2012 to 2018. Besides them, the list includes Toyota Avensis, Toyota Auris, Jaguar XF, Volvo V40, Toyota Verso, Skoda Yeti and the Nissan Leaf.
