UAZs promise to make part of the whole digital ecosystem, the "heart" of which will be a cloud platform – it will collect and analyze information, which will teach on-Board electronics.
It is argued that the interaction with this platform will integrate cars into any digital solutions, from corporate fleet management systems to marketplaces. Receiving real-time telematics data and analyzing it according to the developers ' plan will allow to reduce the cost of operating machines by reducing downtime and optimizing business processes.
The ordinary owner of the "Patriot" will develop an application for smartphones, which, following the example of a number of other manufacturers, will establish a direct remote connection between a person and a car. The owner of a Patriot or-in the future-any other UAZ will be able to remotely start and stop the engine, as well as track data on the technical condition of the machine – from the location and amount of fuel to the driving style of a particular driver.
Officially it is declared that tests of "connected" UAZ already started, and even before sales of the Patriot with the machine gun began. One of the prototypes of the SUV with connectivity-platform took part in the final part of the resource run in Russia from July 29 to August 14, 2019.
Moreover, the plant has very specific plans: serial production of UAZs with such a function should start in the fourth quarter. Finally, it will be possible to connect already produced machines to the cloud.
