Following the processing of the main symbol of the brand-the famous bunch of letters V and W – the designers of the company took up the modernization of another, not so widely known, but in a sense a cult. From the former angular brutality is gone.
However, VW is confident that they are moving with the times. A more elegant reading of the letter R is called "modern, clear and stylish" and is designed to emphasize the overall progressiveness of the brand. The lines that depict the letter have become thinner, and in its curves hints of the outlines of race tracks are guessed.
The cherished (but no longer "old Testament") letter R has retained the "italic" slope, which should symbolize the dynamics, but now it seems to be stretched horizontally - that is, it has become even more dynamic. It is officially stated that this should create a "more powerful" impression and demonstrate the VW brand's commitment to performance and exclusivity.
Along the way, Volkswagen also announced that the logo of the "Junior" sub – brand-R – Line-will also be updated. Demonstrate it at the premiere of the cross-coupe Atlas Cross Sport, that is, a coupe-like modification of a large SUV, sold in Russia under the name Teramont.
Currently, the R-line of the Volkswagen brand consists of Golf R and T-Roc R, but, according to rumors, in the future it will be supplemented by at least two extravagant models. The Germans plan to return to service " hot "Touareg, and, according to some reports, develop a special engine for the "charged" Arteon R.
