Volkswagen is preparing for a major update of the popular Tiguan crossover. The restyling will be large-scale, because the style will be adjusted to the design code of the Golf VIII generation.
A lucky eyewitness managed to photograph the updated Volkswagen Tiguan. The photo posted on Instagram was probably taken during an official photo shoot and doesn't have the best quality, but now we can imagine the scale of the upcoming facelift.
The most important change is the new design of the front part. The Tiguan 2020 head optics and LED light graphics repeat the styling of the VW Golf 8th-generation headlights. The front part will be supplemented with a new, narrower radiator grille, a new Volkswagen logo, and modified bumpers.
This particular image shows a version of the R-Line with aggressive air intakes in the bumpers that have lost fog lights-apparently, the " Tiguan "will use" all-weather " light in the main modules.
The side of the crossover will remain unchanged, but the rear is expected to have modified led lights and a large inscription Tiguan on the trunk lid. Unfortunately, there are no photos of the updated interior yet: whether the interior architecture will be changed in the Golf style or kept in the same form is still unclear.
However, a new-generation multimedia system is definitely expected.
The official premiere of the Volkswagen Tiguan 2020 may take place at the Geneva motor show in early March.
